Furtherfield Gallery

One Minute Volumes 4 and 5 featuring Snowflake and Kaleidoscope Experiment, will be screening at the Furtherfield Gallery in London on 26 - 27th January and 2 - 3rd February. Curated by Kerry Baldry, the programmes of artists film and video has toured internationally.

London Short Film Festival

New comedy short 'Computer Love' will get it's London premiere at the London Short Film Festival in January, screening in the Romance Shorts programme at Hackney Picture House. This micro-short tells the story of a heartbroken Mac who can't render anymore.

London Animation Club event

I shall be showing some work and speaking at the London Animation Club tomorrow evening at the University of the Arts in central London. A host of animators from LAC will be screening work and speaking for the students at Camberwell and St Martins College of Art.

National Poetry Day 2012

I was approached by the Southbank Centre again this year to create some animations for their live poetry event to celebrate National Poetry Day on 3rd October. Based on the theme of 'stars', I created animated typography in the style of constellations spelling out the names of poets such as John Cooper Clarke and Roger McGough.

A Wondrous Place

I was approached by theatre director Chris Meads way back in 2010 to be involved in a new multi disciplinary theatre project called 'A Wondrous Place'. After completing the research and development process last year, the identity design work is now complete and blog up and running.
I will soon be starting the production work of the animated backdrops, ready for the live performances next year. In the meantime there is a guest curator from various arts and culture disciplines on the blog every week:

New commission live

I was approached by Milan based SkinCeuticals to create a short film piece based on one of their products. Taking on board the 'beauty in a bottle' theme, this mixed media piece is a composite of found footage throughout the last century.

Van D'or award nomination

New comedy short 'Computer Love' has been shortlisted for the Van D'or award, and will be later travelling to Cannes as part of Canne in a Van.
This new animation tells the story of a computer who finds himself so heartbroken, he is unable to render anymore.

Dear Foreigner travels to Vienna next month for the Tricky Women festival of Animated Film. The biggest international festival for female animators, I travelled there last year when Girls Guide to Muso Boyfriends screened.

One Minute Volume 5 at FACT

One Minute Volume 5 continues its tour from Sydney and Cardiff to Liverpool at FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology) this Wednesday 25th January at 6.30 pm. Featuring early experimental film Kaleidoscope Experiment, watch it here
